Ewen Maddock Dam

The Ewen Maddock Dam is located 5km north of Landsborough. It is an earth-filled embankment dam with an un-gated spillway.  The main purpose for this dam is water supply for the Sunshine Coast.  The dam is regularly stocked with Australian bass, golden perch, Mary River cod and saratoga, so is a popular fishing spot.

We will walk out along the boardwalk to a smaller path with a slight incline after which the track becomes relatively flat winding its way around the dam.  Walking out around 4--5km we make our way back to have morning tea at the day use area.  There is an opportunity for a swim in the  dam after the walk, so bring togs etc.
