Leafy lane is one of the gateways to the Mapleton National Park.  Leaving Leafy Lane we will head onto the Great Walk towards the falls.  The path meanders through some lovely rain and eucalypt forests as we head to our first stop at Linda Garrett.  After crossing Delicia Road onto Darmar Road we make our way down to the Wompoo Circuit.  This takes us to the falls.  We may hear the wompoo pigeon in this area.

Mapletpn Falls has an excellent views over the Obi Obi Valley.  Pencil Creek forms the Falls tumbling down 120 mts. Morning tea will be back at the tables at the entry to the falls.  Returning back along the Great Walk track we will have a short stop at the Peregine Lookout.  The peregine falcon may be seen at times soaring in the valley and nests along the cliff edges between September to December. From here we make our way back to our starting point

This walk is a comfortable 8ks and is mainly under the forest canopy.

The toilets Facilities at Mapleton Falls are closed due to vandalism (toilets burnt down).
