This is an easy after work wildflower meander along a well defined fire management trail. We will walk at a leisurely pace to look at the wildflowers (possibly peas, boronia, milkmaids, native iris, bottle brush, banksia, hakea, Vanilla Lillies to name a few) and take time for photos. There are also a number of bird species in the area for those that like bird watching.

It is a return hike - how far we walk will depend on how fast we walk and the track conditions. But probably in the order of only 2-3 km return.

There are a couple of very small running waterways to walk over and depending on conditions the weeks prior there may be muddy indundated areas on the track. If this is the case and they are too muddy this will be our turning around point. IT IS STILL POSSIBLE THAT SHOES MAY GET WET/MUDDY.

What to bring:
  • Walking shoes/boots suitable for possible wet conditions
  • Water
  • Hat
  • Insect repellent
  • Camera
  • Wildflower identification booklets
  • Head torch - we plan to be back to the cars in daylight but best to be prepared .....
