LDW2B/KAY (see Walk Grades page) Prospective Members Welcome Limit 25 Bring water, hat, swimming gear Walk distance: 11 k. or 14.8 k. Clive Brown has agreed to take 6 passengers at a time in his “tinny”, and he can do several trips. We will leave from The Powerboat Club, Golden Beach, cross Pumicestone Passage by boat, OR by your own kayak. The walk starts from Lion\'s Park, going east to the Ocean Beach. We beach-walk south 5 kilometres until we reach Fort Bribie. We examine the ruins, have a swim and lunch. An extra walk of 3.8 k (return) can be done to the west coast. We return via the beach to Lion\'s Park on the west coast of Bribie again. Clive will collect us and take us back to Golden Beach to our cars. Kayakers will need to be experienced and have life jackets. History details to download: fort-bribie-story.pdf Limit is 25 in total. Only 18 seats (6 x 3 times) available on Clive\'s boat.
