LDW2B Prospective Members Welcome Limit 15 Bring $1 for the ferry, 2 L water, morning tea, lunch, togs, towel, hat 18 kilometre walk. We start this walk along a bitumen road, then turn right for many kilometres of dirt road walking, with wallum bush each side. We will have to watch out for occasional traffic. We arrive at the Noosa River, and follow a track to the beach. Because this is tidal wetland, there could be mosquitoes. Be rewarded by good views of the Noosa River mouth and its fast moving tidal stream. After beach walking north for a few kilometres, we return via a short section of bitumen road, then a sandy track. Make sure you have comfortable boots, because the walk will seem long. Note for prospective members - test out your long distance walking fitness by doing 18 kilometres a couple of weeks beforehand.
