Bli Bli to Maroochy Wetlands and Return

SDW2A (see Walk Grades page) Prospective Members Welcome Limit 19 people Bring morning tea, 1.5L water, hat, sunscreen if sunny, raincoat if not, inspect spray (although it is winter) Approx 10kms We start at Muller Park (where toilets), cross over the Maroochy River, past Bli Bli Village and walk through suburbia until we reach the wetlands. Sports Road leads us to the Maroochy Wetlands Sanctuary where we will visit the Information Centre. Then we will walk along the boardwalk (taking the left trail) hoping to spot some of the 180 species of birds, butterflies, and the various flora of the littoral rainforest. We\'ll reach the Maroochy River again and then return to the Information Centre via the left trail of the boardwalk. Morning tea will be spent next door at the strawberry farm. The return walk to Muller Park will be via a different, concrete path through the wetland rainforest.
