The falls are located within Mapleton National Park. Walk through this tall, thriving and open forest as we meander our way to the falls for morning tea. A few hills to warm up along the way. At the falls you will discover water from the South Maroochy River cascading over boulders before falling 30m into a hidden gorge. From the trail commencement we gain about 160 metres in elevation over 3 kilometres to a ridge line before descending a wide winding trail to the falls. A total walk distance of about 6 kilometres.
On our journey to the falls following a wide path you might come across large monitor lizards racing up trees, cascade frogs and lots of birdlife as well. Over 295 species have been counted including, finches, robins, wood swallows, honeyeaters, wrens and much more.
