This is a relaxed and relatively straightforward creek/rock hop; good for people who haven't done creek walking before and would like to give it a go. We'll also make time for a swim for those who would like. We will car pool to the start of the walk, leaving the cars at a maintenance gate on Sunday Creek Road. Numbers will depend on availability of 4/AWD vehicles to get to the start of the walk as the road is quite rough. We cut across through eucalypt forest to meet up with the Great Walk and walk to the Summer Creek Falls walkers camp where we will have morning tea. There are drop toilets at the camp. Then we will rock hop and wander up the creek to the causeway on the maintenance track. Lunch and a swim at some point depending on how we are going with time and the weather. Then it is about 1km back up the maintenance track to the cars and back to our meeting point. About 8km with elevation gain/loss of 224m

What to bring:
  • Morning tea and lunch.
  • Backpack
  • Hat, grippy walking shoes/boots
  • Appropriate clothing to suit conditions
  • Sufficient water (minimum 2L)
  • Whistle, First aid kit, sunscreen & insect repellent as appropriate
