Jack Ferris lookout sits atop of the Trachyte Ride on the Trachyte Circuit in the Glasshouse Mountains National Park give panaromic views of the surrounding glasshouse peaks and pine forest plantations. What a better time to enjoy the view to the west is when the sun is setting.

This activity is more of a social sunset walk, as we will be walking up to the lookout (100m) over 2km using the Trachyte circuit. After enjoying a drink and nibbles on the top and a sunset (around 5.20pm) display, we will then descend by torch light off the lookout via the trachyte circuit and then a fire management trail returning to the cars in the Tibrogargan carpark.

NB Sam is out of internet / phone range from 27/4 to 7/5 so cannot take registrations during this time. Please be aware she cannot respond to any messages.

What to bring:

Backpack
Drinks and nibbles
cushion or seat to sit on (no seats at the lookout)
Walking shoes/boots
Appropriate clothing to suit conditions
