This walk will have two options.  All walkers will start together and walk along the rail track through the tunnel and over to the Moolah entrance.

Option 1:

The Trail starts along the old railway track where we walk to the heritage listed tunnel.  Built in 1891 the tunnel is 94 meters long and home to two micro bat colonies. Hopefully we will spot the bats on the day.

After walking over to the Moolah Entrance and back to the tunnel, we take the overpass and walk up and explore the Eucalypt Forest and riparian areas above which provide a habitat for a diversity of wildlife.  Making our way back down to the rail track we return the way we came in.  Morning Tea will be just up above the Tunnel.

The track above the tunnel requires a good level of fitness as there are a few big hills up and down.  Poles are strongly recommended.  The Club will have some poles for use on the day.  This is a great little 7k walk

Option 2:

After morning tea at the Moolah End this group of walkers will return back along the rail trail, through the tunnel and back to the start.  A comfortable 6.5 k.  This is great for new walkers, recovering from injuries and returning to fitness.  Alf will lead this walk back from Moolah to start.
