The Gold Creek Reservoir is in Brookfield based in the D'Aguilar National Park.  This walk is 6km circuit around the reservoir and has great views at times. There is a 170m gain and the track is steep in parts. There is great bush to walk in and enjoy the birdlife in the area. Unfortunately there is no swimming in the reservoir. The walk starts and finishes at the day use area.

As we are driving down into the Brisbane area, the group will then head across to Camp Mountain in the D'Aguilar National Park and walk the Summit Track to the top and return. This walk is a popular hike and starts from Bellbird Grove  picnic area to the Camp Mountain Lookout. This has views out to Brisbane skyline and the Glasshouse Mountains /Moreton Bay.   This is a 5km circuit and will take 1.5 hours.

The group will car pool down to Brisbane departing from the Palmview commuter carpark on the east side of the Bruce Highway (opposite Aussie World) at 7.30am. Our first destination will be Gold Creek Reservoir and Camp Mountain summit will be after that. Morning tea and lunch will be taken at the best location at the time.

This is a great chance to do some walks in the outer Brisbane area.
