This is an off-track circuit walk in the Mount Mee area, approximately 10km long and usually takes 5-6 hours.  From Sellin Road we turn onto Range Road which goes steeply down to cross the creek and up onto D'Aguilar Ridge where we leave the cars. We walk on Range Road for about 1km until we reach a fire break which descends 210m over about 2km down to Byron Creek.  We then rock hop upstream for about 2km, along a pretty creek bed with interesting rocks and water features, to Byron Falls.  This is an impressive twin waterfall which feeds into a large tranquil lagoon set in a small enclosed rainforest. amphitheatre.  After taking a break to admire the falls and lagoon, we then scramble up around the side to the top of the waterfall.  From here, it is a lovely view looking down on the lagoon.  There is another small pool at the top of the falls where we will probably have lunch, enjoy the view and maybe a swim.  We then continue upstream for 1.5km until we cross the causeway we have driven over earlier, and then further upstream for another 1.8km, where we will exit the creek and after a short bush bash connect to a forestry road.  From here it will be a short forestry road walk back to our cars.

There is a little scrambling in the 100m or so before and after the falls which gives it the '5' rating.

At times it is easier to wade along the shallow creek than push through the vegetation on the sides, so be prepared to get your boots wet.
