Our meeting place is Bulcock Beach.  There is car parking between Minchinton Street and Latona Avenue.

Please note parking might be tricky.  It will be best to carpool if possible.  Traffic coming from the Bruce Highway can be very busy on the way into Caloundra.

This is new walk for the club and something that is a little bit different.

Most of the walk will be done barefoot, but bring either some reef shoes or sandals as well, for places with broken branches and other obstacles in the water, as well as some bush bashing at the southern end, near the break.  There have been reports of midges, so bring some insect repellent, as well as water, morning tea, sunscreen, swimmers and a waterproof bag.

The distance is about 6km.

What to bring:
  • Backpack
  • Waterproof bag for belongings.
  • Footwear suitable for walking through water
  • Appropriate clothing to suit conditions (swimmers)
  • Sufficient water (minimum 2L)
  • Whistle
  • First aid kit
  • Sunscreen
  • Hat
  • Insect repellent
  • Morning tea
