This lovely shaded walk is being led by Alf Moore.  Please note that registrations of interest are to be addressed via text to Helen Bernard as per the Leader's Walk Details provided.

Mapleton Falls lookout is part of Pencil Creek (with a drop of 120 metres) overlooking the Obi Obi Valley.  Leaving from here we will follow the Wompoo Circuit to a short stop at Peregrine Lookout.  The Peregrine Falcons soar and roost near the Mapleton Falls cliff edges during August and September.  The walk crosses Delicia Road and enters into Sclerophyl forest through to Linda Garrett.  Following the Great Walk we pass by ancient logging stumps, small creeks, moss covered logs, arriving at Leafy Lane for morning tea before heading back to Mapleton Falls.  This is a pleasant, easy 12km walk.
