LDW3B (see Walk Grades page) Prospective Members Welcome Limit 16 Bring water, hat, morning tea and lunch ***FULL***. 16.5 kilometres approx. We follow the Noosa Trail Network number 5, heading west, then north. The terrain is quite hilly but mostly in shady eucalyptus \"Spotted Gum\" forest. There will be a brief view of Mt Cooroora. We will take a horse trail to a high ridge, descend and cross a creek and do a bit of bitumen road walking. Morning tea at William Martin Park besides a large dam. We continue to Cooran where you will find toilets, water and a shop. On the return, we will take a slightly different track, then meet up with our previously walked track. Fitness needed for the hills. Elevation gain: 320 metres. Elevation loss: similar.
