Key Details of Tall Gums & Uplands Trails:
  • Location: The Maroochy Regional Bushland Botanic Garden on Palm Creek Road, Tanawha.
  • The walk is a combination of Tall Gums and Uplands bushwalks featured in the Maroochy Regioonal Bbushland Botanic Garden brochure "Walks on the wildside":  The walk will be about 7km, taking about 3hrs and are part of a larger network pathways and trails.  The walk includes a couple of sections listed as Grade 4, (suitable for experienced hikers) as they include rough tracks with steep sections and creek crossings through diverse forest types. 
  • Conservation Value: Protects critical habitat for threatened species, including Endangered greater gliders, Vulnerable glossy black cockatoos, and the Richmond birdwing butterfly.
  • Access: Open to the public for passive recreation (walking), with access usually through the adjoining Botanic Garden trails.
