Mt Coolum

Unfortunately, as our intended route is closed due to road works, we will now meet at the Mt. Coolum car park. From here, it is a steep climb up the mountain with the views along the way being quite impressive. From Noosa in the north to Point Cartwright further south and the airport, there are plenty of photo opportunities to be had. And for those plant lovers, there is a prolific showing of native plants just as we are entering the spring months, with wattles, banksias and hakias in particular.

Once at the top we will spend some time admiring the views while enjoying morning tea.

After a break we will take a rough track down the western side of Mt Coolum before returning to the Mt Coolum carpark via backstreets.

What to bring:

Walking shoes/boots
Appropriate clothing to suit conditions
Sufficient water (minimum 2L)
Whistle
First aid kit
Sunscreen
Hat
Insect repellent
Walking poles if desired
